COMPRESSED ACTIVATED CARBON BLOCK CARTRIDGE - 5 Micron

ACC-4 Series cartridges have a high porosity design that helps prevent the cartridge from plugging before its absorption capability is exhausted, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining low pressure drop. ACC-4 series Aquafilter Activated Carbon Block filter cartridges are manufactured by extrusion, using a mixed blend GAC granular activated carbon media for improved reduction of chlorine taste and odor, and high absorption capacity. The 5-micron activated compressed carbon block is ideal for use as a reverse osmosis pre-filter or post-filter.

The filter cartridge is made of extruded food grade activated carbon. Designed to filter water reducing the concentration of chlorine, organic compounds, pesticides, VOC's and micro-organisms. Enhances the continuous supply of fresh and clean drinking water. Recommended for pre-treatment of water.

Aquafilter cartridges are suitable for POU (Point of Use) and POE (Points of Entry) installations.

This filter should fit all standard 10" water filter housings.

Recommended Service Life: 1-6 months*

Made in the EU with High Quality materials.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do not use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. We recommend regularly scheduled maintenance and replacement of the filter cartridge in order for the product to perform properly.

*The service life will depend upon a number of factors such as source particulate load, treatment flow volumes and good care and maintenance of the housing environment.

Deteriorisation in flow rates is a good indicator of the filter having reached it's maximum particulate absorption threshold.

Changes to the taste of your filtered water or any changes in color of the filter should also result in changing the filter and servicing of the housing.

Ensure you flush a newly installed filter with several litres of water to flush any carbon dust manufacturing residue, this will show as a slight grey/black tint in the water. It is completely harmless to human health, and is purely aesthetic.
