This Vetus engine service pack contains all the genuine consumable items you'll need to carry out a professional standard service on a Vetus M series (yellow) engine (M2, M3, M4).
Some engines may require more oil, please add extra to your basket if required.
MP Lite-D is a high grade multi-grade oil suitable for use in small capacity non-turbo diesel engines. MP Lite D multi-grade diesel engine oil is equally applicable to engines where the manufacturer recommends a 10w30, 10w40 or a 15w40 API CC engine oil.
This filter is a genuine Vetus oil filter, part number STM0051.
This filter is for use with M2, M3 and M4 series engines (Yellow engines).This genuine Vetus engine fuel filter, efficiently separates dirt or water which may be present in the diesel fuel, helping to protect and prolong the life of your engine.
This filter should be replaced during service intervals as prescribed in the manual.
For Vetus M2, M3, M4 - P4.17/19 (yellow series) and VH4.65/80 engines.
Please note that the drain plug is of metal construction, only the finger wheel is of nylon plastic. This filter is fully Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) compliant.
Engine oils can form acids as a result of the combustion process and
oxidation. Even after draining the engine oil and changing the filter
residual acid contamination can remain in the crankcase in sludge form
which in turn can corrupt the protection properties of your new oil.
Adding Silverhook Engine Flush to your used oil before draining helps

draining would leave behind whilst providing friction-proofing during
treatment.
