Silver series carbon block cartridges are a premium carbon block filter which have a high porosity design that helps prevent the cartridge from clogging before its adsorption capability is exhausted, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining low pressure drop. Silver series Aquafilter carbon Block filter cartridges for VOC reduction are manufactured using an extrusion process, using a mixed blend GAC granular activated carbon media for improved reduction of chlorine taste and odor, and high adsorptive capacity. The 5-micron carbon block and is ideal for use as a reverse osmosis prefilter or postfilter.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do not use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. We recommend regularly scheduled maintenance and replacement of the filter cartridge in order for the product to perform properly.

*The service life will depend upon a number of factors such as source particulate load, treatment flow volumes and good care and maintenance of the housing environment.

Deteriorisation in flow rates is a good indicator of the filter having reached it's maximum particulate absorption threshold.

Changes to taste of your filtered water or any changes in color of the filter should also result in changing the filter and servicing of the housing.
